Hand Me A Scalpel

Update on Misc. stuff…

June 14, 2007 · 3 Comments

Just so you know, I have not yet had the time to even go to WC’s site yet. I figure that whatever he said was twisted out of context and reinterpreted and probably looks more like a pretzel than truth. So maybe Saturday I’ll hit that up.

I’m trying to hunker down (again) and get more time with my family, so emails and blogs gotta go to the backburner. I say all this so that curious “whoevers” will know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I am in no way dodging WC or whatever.
I’m just busying myself with what matters right now.

In the meantime, everyone be koo.

Happy Father’s Day , Mark, Jr. You are so right to do what really matters. I was blessed to have had a dad like that. He had his faults, as all us parents do, but the thing I remember most about him was how proud he was of his girls, even when we messed up.

He never once said, “don’t bother me with that. I don’t have the time.” He always made time for us, no matter what. When he was in the last stages of heart failure, and could hardly draw a breath, he proudly introduced my sister and I to everyone who entered the hospital room. When he went to be with the Lord a few weeks later they closed the assisted care home where he lived, and all the folks came to say goodbye to “Mr. Jack” as he was called. They came in wheelchairs, and some could hardly walk, but they all came to pay their respects to a good man.

That’s the kind of things kids remember, not how
succesful we are in our careers, or how much money we have, but the good, sweet memories of being dearly loved and cherished.

So cherish all these moments with your little “boo”. That’s what lasts.

About the WC, don’t bother. Totally not worth giving it the dignity of a comment. Men like you, my late dad, my dear husband, and other devoted dads I know who quietly go about the business of being Godly examples to their families day in and day out are the real heroes.

Have a special Father’s Day, and a blessing for many more wonderful and special times to share with your family.

    Mark, Jr.

Just got word that Paul Gowdy’s heart catherization went well this morning. The good news is they didn’t find anything wrong with his heart. We have our Lord to thank for such a good outcome. Hopefully, we’ll be hearing from our favorite Irish lad again as soon as soon as he recovers. Thought all of you would like to know.
